Brigitte Khayat has practiced exclusively in the field of immigration and refugee protection. Over the past years she assisted persons from various countries with their immigration and/or refugee matters. Her professional experience started with UNHCR (The UN Refugee Agency) Cairo, MENA Regional Office, where she worked in the Protection and Resettlement operations. In Canada, Brigitte was privileged to expand her experience in one of the most reputable Immigration and Refugee law firms in Toronto, ON, where she worked for 7 years prior to establishing her own immigration firm.
Brigitte is a regulated licensee and a member in good standing of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC), and the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC).
She is also licensed to represent her clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB), Canada's largest independent administrative tribunal responsible for making well-reasoned decisions on immigration and refugee matters in accordance with the law.
Prior to receiving her accreditation in Immigration and Refugee Law from Canada, Brigitte obtained her B.A. in Political Science with specialization in International Relations and Foreign Policy.
